The Respect Life Ministry has at its core the mission to defend the dignity of all life from conception until the end of earthly life. Through prayer, volunteer opportunities at local pro-life agencies, participation in annual pro-life events, promotion of various life-affirming programs, dissemination of informational materials, and collection of items to assist area agencies, this parish-wide ministry is open to all who wish to participate. Through these means, we hope to carry on the Gospel of Life and St. John Paul II's message:  Society as a whole must respect, defend and promote the dignity of every human person, at every moment and in every condition of that person's life.” (Evangelium Vitae)

40 Days for Life

40 Days for Life is an internationally coordinated 40-day campaign that aims to end abortion locally through prayer and fasting, community outreach, and a peaceful all-day vigil in front of abortion businesses. The Indianapolis campaign takes place outside of the Planned Parenthood facility at 86th St. and Georgetown Road. Christ the King has been given the charge to fill the vigil prayer hours from 7 am until 7 pm every Thursday,  beginning September 26 through October 31, 2024.  Anyone is welcome to come and pray during that time OR ANYTIME on Thursdays or any day throughout the 40-day vigil. We have sign-up sheets in the church vestibule, so please consider giving this gift of time and prayer for unborn children at risk of abortion. Help a Family During their Miscarriage

When a family finds out they are having a miscarriage they should not have to also worry about having an appropriate burial vessel for when the miscarriage happens. Covenant Resources assembles miscarriage totes for facilities (hospitals, doctor offices, funeral homes, pregnancy resource centers) that allow a woman to go into that facility and leave with the supplies she needs without waiting for them to arrive in the mail. Covenant Resources does not charge to assemble the totes and does not make any profit.  However, there are $150 worth of supplies in each tote which will help multiple families. Many facilities want the totes, but it is often daunting for them to acquire funding to purchase them.  Please consider purchasing a tote (or part of a tote) that can be given to a facility near you. Purchases can be made at www.covenantresources.org/ways-to-help or checks can be sent to Covenant Resources Miscarriage Ministry, Greensburg, IN 47240. Questions? The Covenant Resources Miscarriage Ministry is a 501c3 non-profit.  Donations are tax deductible.  Email  This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
