What do I do during Adoration?
There are no wrong answers to this question! This is your relationship with Jesus - you get to decide how you want to spend time with Him! Some people say the Rosary, some meditate on a scripture reading or quote, some journal, some just sit quietly and enjoy being in His presence. Think of how you spend time with a trusted friend - when you’re listening or sharing the most vulnerable parts of your heart - Jesus is your trusted friend!
Consider this an invitation to be in the presence of Jesus - and bring the kids! Here are some ways to include families in Eucharistic adoration:
Start small: Begin with a short visit, like 5–10 minutes, and gradually increase the time.
Talk about reverence: Practice reverence in your own prayer and let it guide your prayer with your children.
Offer prayer aids: Give children a rosary, prayer book, or journal.
Share experiences: Share your own experience with your children before bringing them into the chapel for prayer.
Tell them how excited you are: Let them know how excited you are to see them.
Listen to God together: Think about how your togetherness in love for God may be as important as your own quiet time
Please consider this an open invitation to come to the Blessed Sacrament Chapel and spend time with Jesus - individually or as a family! You can even split a time slot with another family!!

About Adoration
Yes, you are a child of God, and yes, He has a plan for you. The question is do you know what that plan is? You may not have an answer to that question but you may, at this time in your life, be seeking His will. The Blessed Sacrament Chapel Prayer and Adoration committee would like to help you find His will by offering an opportunity to work very closely with Him.
The Blessed Sacrament Chapel Prayer and Adoration committee’s mission is to provide opportunities for parishioners to spend time in the presence of Christ in the Eucharist. This is done through holding hours of Adoration during the seasons of Advent and Lent and every 1st Friday and 3rd Sunday of the month being sure that someone is always present when Christ is unveiled in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel. Responsibilities of members is to make sure there are parishioners scheduled for every holy hour, to promote the holy hours through bulletin announcements and sign up boards, and to provide reading and prayer materials for adorers. As you can see, members of the Blessed Sacrament Chapel Prayer and Adoration committee work directly for God, directly with God and work very, very near to Him.
The committee would like you to consider becoming a member. All of the committee members started as novices in the practices of Eucharistic Adoration and no member has ever felt worthy to carry on the mission. Yet, each and every member has grown exponentially closer to God through this work.
Prayerfully consider becoming a member of this committee. While considering this, keep in mind it is not what you already know about Eucharistic Adoration that matters but what God wants you to know about Eucharistic Adoration.
If the question of your becoming a member of this committee is a persistent one, email Quanah Jeffries at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or call the parish office.
Your prayerful consideration is greatly appreciated,
